The Uncle Mike’s Reflex IRT Holster is a well-built holster that offers real world performance. The two-piece polymer holster is very lightweight and durable. The Reflex utilizes Uncle Mike’s patented retention system that holds the gun in place by the trigger guard, with a small catch down inside the holster. The patented retention system is based off of a "gross motor skills concept" with no buttons or levers to think about. To draw your weapon from the holster, simply grab the weapon in the firing grip and twist briefly toward your body and the weapon is released. This slight twisting motion is an automatic motion that occurs when you securely grip the firearm, and is natural and extremely easy to use. If someone attempts to grab the weapon from behind you or beside you, the firearm will remain firmly in place. When returning the gun to the holster it will automatically lock in place. You will hear and audible "click" letting you know the retention system is fully engaged.
