Description

The Marlin 1895 Trapper .45-70 Government features a 16" threaded barrel fitted with a match polished thread protector. The barrel is made of 410 stainless steel and is cold hammer forged with six groove rifling. The receiver is machined from a 416 stainless steel forging and the breech bolt is made of a high strength aircraft grade chrome-moly steel. The spiral fluted bolt is nickel plated to provide smooth cycling. The big loop lever is made of 416 stainless steel and has smooth edges. The Adjustable Skinner Sights receiver mounted peep sight is perfect for rapid target acquisition. The gray laminate stock and forend feature checkering panels that are oiled and provide an excellent grip in all weather conditions. The forend has been slimmed down to provide a comfortable feel, and the butt pad absorbs recoil.
