To be able to use the tool-less guide rod for bushing barrels, you must be able to remove the recoil spring plug from the rear of the slide. 

For use with Wolff recoil springs, will not work with ISMI springs.

Dawson Tool-Less Guiderod fits factory STI 1911/2011, SV, Kimber, Colt with bushing barrels, compensated and non-compensated pistols. Compare your reverse plug to picture above.

NOTE:

• Recoil Spring is not included.
• Fits some Springield 1911 pistols. If you are unable to push your spring plug out the rear of the spring tunnel on the slide, the Tool-less Guide Rod will not work with your pistol.
